Would you go Over the Edge for those you love?
Over the Edge is an exciting new event in which participants rappel down the side of Downtown Knoxville’s 12-story Langley Building. It’s the tallest, most thrilling fundraising event to ever hit Knoxville!
Imagine yourself being one of the few special participants who will earn the opportunity to go Over the Edge by raising at least $1,000. The amazing views from the top and the life-changing adrenaline rush of going Over the Edge can only be matched by the important role you will play in helping change the future for low-income single mother families at The Restoration House.
Simply seeing Knoxville’s skyline from the roof of the Langley Building is a unique experience, but to actually climb out Over The Edge and rappel to the city below is a thrill unlike anything you’ve ever experienced. The event is accessible for all. Absolutely no experience is necessary. Space is limited to only 92 participants.
Take a deep breath, step up and show your support for single mother families by going Over the Edge!
About The Restoration House
Single parent families represent over 35% of households in Knoxville, and the majority of them are single mother families who are living below the poverty line. The Restoration House (TRH) was founded in 2007 and provides supportive transitional housing and Ally-Teams to help bridge the gap between existing services for low-income single mothers and their children. Together, TRH helps families break the cycle of poverty and gives them an opportunity to restore life’s four key relationships through a personalized, guided plan.
At its core, The Restoration House (TRH) believes that God intended for us to live in community. In order to come alongside more families, TRH is developing The Village – a 24-unit community for low-income single mother families. Families, like Chasity and her five children, have experienced tremendous restoration as they’ve built a new future for themselves with the help of TRH.
The Village provides The Restoration House and Emerald Youth Foundation, the opportunity to strategically partner together to leverage their 35 years of combined experience utilizing best practices in supportive transitional housing, team mentoring, family advocacy, and robust youth development to holistically empower low-income single mothers and their children to break the cycle of poverty!
100% of the funds raised from Over the Edge will go directly to benefit the single-mother families living at The Village.
